What is your role at Good News Church?
As Lead Pastor I cast vision (paint the picture of what Good News Community Church needs to be and do), lead (the leaders through coaching and the congregation through preaching), and raise up other leaders (who lead various ministries and aspects of the church).
What is the best part about your role?
I love the fact that I’m never bored or locked into a routine! Each day holds new challenges. I love a good challenge!
What event from the Bible would you like to have been present for?
Jesus died on the cross and his body was buried in a tomb but when folks went back to the tomb three days later
it was empty because Jesus was alive again. One of the guys, Thomas, said he’d only believe all this resurrection stuff if he got to stick his finger in the holes that the nails had made in Jesus’ arms when he was crucified. Eventually Thomas ran into Jesus and got his wish. I’d love to have been there when Thomas stuck his finger in the nail holes.

What do you count as the greatest invention of the last 100 years? Why?
PEZ. The dispensers, not the candy -the candy is awful stuff! But when you hold out a PEZ dispenser, tilt the head back, and offer someone a PEZ, they can’t help but smile. When you’ve got a PEZ dispenser in your hand, you can make friends with anyone!
What is your favorite place on earth?
I’m partial to the happiest place on earth –Disneyland
What makes you laugh?
My kids.

My kids.
If you could be on any reality television show, which one would it be?
Since it’s very first season on the air I’ve want to do the Amazing Race. I want to roam the globe and do the
roadblock challenges –things like repel down buildings, swim with sharks, figure out puzzles, eat ostrich egg omelets…
What hobby do you enjoy?
Lately I’ve been doing some multi-sport races like triathlons and adventure races.
When you think of heaven what comes to mind?
I figure there must be a lot of chocolate there…
